San Diego, California, is ideally located midway between Catalina
Island and Ensanada Mexico with lots of great sailing and boating
in between! San Diego Bay itself has great cruising without
ever leaving the harbor.
With the San Diego Zoo, Sea World, Wild Animal Park, Balboa
Park, Seaport Village, the Gaslamp District, Horton Plaza, the
Embarcadero, sandy beaches, Old Town State park, Bazaar del
Mundo, & Gloretta Bay with its Hotel Del Coronado close
by there is plenty to do and see! The sport fishing around San
Diego is great and there are over 27 golf courses (two courses
are on the bayfront.)
Tijuana is a Trolly ride close- Jai Ali matches, Agua Caliente
Race Track and Foreign Book, Bull Fights, fabulous museum exhibits
and
great restaurants- Restaurante Vasco Maite is highly recomended
for its Basque dishes.
San Diego features year round pleasant weather contributes to
the healthy, outdoor lifestyle. It is a wonderful escape for
snowbirds and from the heat of the desert.
Visitors from only as far north as Los Angeles remark at the
clear air and milder temperatures, because the moderate ocean
influence extends further inland here.
