SUNROAD SOUNDINGS
March 2007

BE PREPARED! Although Sunroad is the best-protected marina in San Diego, precautions still must be taken for winter storms. If your boat is tied up properly, it will not overhang the dock regardless of the wind direction – use spring lines. Our staff must retie several boats every week! A minimum four-point tie up is required and six is better! Canvas needs to be checked and a noisy halyard will drive your neighbors crazy! Help us keep the marina safe and fun for everyone. Dinghies fill with rainwater and SINK! Check your boat!

MEET KELLY & JENNY: Come to the office and meet Kelly, our new slip coordinator and Jenny our new receptionist.

OPERATION CLEAN SWEEP. Operation Clean Sweep, a clean up day for San Diego Bay needs volunteers! Saturday, June 2nd. Please contact the Marina Office to sign up!! FREE T Shirt, party, memories and a great sense of accomplishment! Get your team together now.

FREE MONTH’S SLIP RENT: Congratulations to Mr.& Mrs. Oca in slip S38, the third winner of the free month slip rent drawing in 2007! Remember, to be included in our drawing, you just need to have your account current.

WIRELESS. We lost our wireless service, iDockUSA and are working on a new one. Try Calif. Micro Systems: (619) 501 7278. We hope to have the internet access up and running soon!

MARINA GUESTS. Your guests are always welcome at the marina, but please let us know when they are coming. Often someone shows up at the marina office wanting to go down to a tenant’s boat and we DO NOT LET THEM without your authorization. For your privacy and protection we do not give out information about you without your permission, so please help us roll out the Red Carpet for your guests by letting us know they are coming. Or, plan to meet them at the gate at a specific time. ALL WORKERS MUST CHECK IN AT OFFICE DAILY.

DELI NEWS. Francisco has had personal problems and must give up the deli. We will soon have a great new operator. Your input in what you would like to see in the deli is welcome!

ON THE DOCK. We are finding more dock cords hanging in the water. Be a good neighbor and leave the dock carts clean & at the gate for the next user. Remember, NOTHING may be stored on the fingers!

SECURITY. Please close gates and restroom doors behind you and do not let others in! Direct them to the Marina Office or to the Guard. We recently had what could have been a serious incident when tenants let someone they did not know into the restrooms and laundry. They were looking for a boat to stay on.

BIKES & DINGHIES. All bikes and dinghies are required to have a marina sticker for identification. They may be obtained at the marina office. Please do not leave your dinghy in any slip other than your own.

ALWAYS OPEN. My office is always open. Please let us know how we may serve you better in 2007.
