Sunroad Sounding
August 2006

It has been a great summer to date and it is super to see so many of you enjoying your boats at the marina.  We are moving into the very best time of the year and the marina and parking lots are very busy.  Thanks to those who help us by following the marina rules, it makes it better for all.

If you have not checked out the new Vista del Mar deli, take the time to stop in and say hello to Francisco & Jennie.  They are anxious to serve your needs and your support will help make the deli a success.

You may be aware there have been some electrical fires at San Diego marinas this summer and we want to prevent any here!  We find fried electrical cords almost daily.  Always be certain to fully twist lock your plug & use water tight connections.  The less connections, the better.  Make sure your plug does not go swimming while you are out - this happens more than you know!  Always turn off the circuit breaker at the dock box prior to connecting or disconnecting the cord.

Save the date:  September 16, 2006.  Sunroad is inviting all tenants to our "End or the Summer" party.  Full details available soon!

Congratulations to Jewel in slip H 29 who is the eighth winner of the free month's slip rent drawing in 2006.

Please let the office know if any of your contact information has changed i.e. phone numbers, address etc.  We also need everyone's e-mail address, so please give us a call or stop by.

Parking has been a real problem lately.  Oversized vehicles are not allowed - it must fit into the space like a box - no overhang past the white lines!   Tip:  If you back into the space you gain a lot and may fit.  Please call the office with special needs.

As the marina gets full and busier this time of year, please remember to be a good neighbor and a responsible boater.  All of Sunroad Marina is a NO WAKE ZONE.  Not a small wake or some wake - NO WAKE!  You are responsible for any damage your wake does.

Anyone working on your boat must be registered with and sign in and out at the marina office.  Do not give marina keys to anyone.  This is for your protection and benefit.  If you have any special needs, please ask.  Normal working hours are 8 - 5 M - F.

We recently had a problem when a tenant let someone into the restroom who did not belong.  Please DO NOT let anyone who you do not know into gates, restrooms, laundry etc. Send them to the marina office or the guard.

Please let us know what we can do to make Summer 2006 the very best ever at Sunroad Marina & please help so others enjoy the marina as well.
